The orbit viewer plots the J2000 ecliptic plane and should be accurate between 3000 BC and 3000 AD. See e.g. this NASA orbit viewer which is more featureful, or this other NASA orbit viewer which is even more featureful. See the NASA Horizons system for very accurate planetary location data.
